E. Susan Duncan, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Dr. E. Susan Duncan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LSU, where she has directs the Language Imaging & Brain Research (LIBRe) Lab. Her research uses neuroimaging and neuromodulation to interrogate the neural mechanisms underlying language. Her work includes basic neuroscience research with healthy adults as well as translational research with acquired language disorders. Current projects use transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to influence performance on tasks of language and attention, and as an adjuvant to aphasia therapy. Dr. Duncan teaches courses in adult neurogenic disorders, anatomy & physiology, and diagnostics. She also holds appointments as Visiting Assistant Researcher in the Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
