The Brain Institute of Louisiana is a private, non-profit foundation with a primary goal of enhancing brain health in Louisiana through medical research and education.
To conduct research the Institute has established five centers of excellence: Alzheimer’s Center, Autism Center, Brain Health Center, Stroke Center, and Stuttering & Language Center. Our vision is to improve health outcomes in Louisiana through innovative research and education.

The Brain Institute of Louisiana’s “Maintain Your Brain!” 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser will be held on May 19th at pavilion #1 in Audubon Park in Uptown New Orleans. The event will consist of a timed 5k run for serious athletes, and a more casual 2.5k walk for those that prefer to maintain their brain with stimulating conversation and a stroll through the park in the beautiful May weather! After the run/walk, there will be gumbo, snow cones, and a band for post-exercise enjoyment! The event will be open to all ages, and everyone and anyone interested in maintain their brain and learning more about our new institute is welcome and encouraged to join us!
